And it's over! hallelujah!!
*throws confetti and pops a bunch of balloons* Finals are over. I got a B average and am joyous for it; I wanted a higher grade in Physics but apparently my homework grade wasn't as high as I though. Phoo. Oh well, I shall live with it. Holidays are over. I got to see a great number of friends; there were a few that I missed, though. *sigh* I also hung out with the family and did my fair share of socializing. In fact, I'm a little burned out. I've done nothing but talk to people and hang out with people since finals ended, two weeks ago, and now that I'm back in town my close relations still want me to hang out and talk. I'm getting sick of it. I need some time to write, draw, and do nothing. And play Neopets. bleah. My stories are going well. Book of Whispers: I need to rewrite the first half to fit better with the second half. I need to rewrite the second half to get rid of junk and make it more coherent. I need to finish the bleepin thing. I am at the scene where Rycoros is battling Shavara Minos. There's a lot that needs to happen yet. Book of Whispers II: I think I shall save this for a Nanonovel for next year. The only thing I know about it is how it starts: with a rift in the air void that separates the two worlds letting an old friend of Morghan's through. It shall also involve Chaos and Ceolene a bit more, I think. Tbook1: eeeurgh. it was going so WELL. and then boom it died. O.o I don't really know what to do with it anymore. it was such a wonderful story and it is so well written and it has so much to it but it's ... just... enormous. and so huge that it's sinking. Should I start over? Should I replan it? Should I completely rewrite it? I need... I think I need to sit down and work out exactly what the plot is, the history is, everything; instead of just writing. It's become more like a dream than an actual story, to such an extent that I fear it shall never be written. There is such a goodness behind it that it makes me worry that I have set my goals too high for it. It is a wonderful story; but can I write it? can I finish it? can I make it live up to my expectations? can I stop glorifying it and make it DECENT? rrrururugh. *pokes it with a stick* the rest of the tbooks: let's just mash them all together with the above paragraph for now; they all need the same thing anyway. Dium's Story and Mirrorskin: they depend on the introduction of the Tbooks, first. They are... derivations ... of the Tbooks. So they, too, shall be put on hold. Poetry: bleah. I'd like to write a poem about the sounds of the campus, and about flowers. but ... I lost the ideas already. I'd have to sit down and find them again and I don't really have time. Book of Sun: I've lost interest in it. It's halfway through a rewrite but I like the Tbooks and the BoWs far more than I like it. So it shall sit there and wait for me. Anything else? I don't know. I can't remember them. If I want to get anything done I should swear off of Neopets for a month or so, because all that I do is sit on that stupid website and talk to people and buy and sell and advertise and try to make a profit. This is exceedingly enjoyable but it is also totally useless. So it must be squashed in favor of writing. At the very least I must throw it over for typing up that box of untyped papers, or organizing all the junk I brought home with me over break. I only have a week left and I have a lot to do. Right now I am at the lab, 'working,' aka typing this and getting paid for it. I'm here until 4:30 or so, so w00t that. Now all I have to do is remember to turn in my timesheet some time, and I might actually get paid for something! *gasp* hahahaha. eurgh. Off to work I go. I shall take some more beam pattern data. |
