So after the wedding Jessi and Casey and my parents went to stand in the receiving line... a little awkward for my mom. She's obsessed and upset with the fact that Dad brought his new girlfriend to the wedding. She's right--it was a little rude and the woman was fairly obnoxious, taking a buttload of pics at parts that should've been only family. But Mom was so upset about it that it just disturbed me a little, too, you know. She let her influence her choices and her actions. That shouldn't happen.

Anyway, while they were in line saying hi to everyone we cleaned up the church, grabbed some bottles of water and stuff, and then the party bus came and we all got in.

What is a party bus you ask?

A party bus is this: alcohol on wheels with cool lights.

Yeah, that about sums it up. We drove around, they all drank, and I drank water from a champagne glass--didn't want to spill on my dress. We didn't get any good radio or TV stations, but we DID stop at the hospital. You see, one of Casey's cousins had premature labor pains on the day of the wedding and was so upset, afraid she'd ruin the whole event--so we went to the hospital and filed into her room just like we had walked into the church, arm in arm. She was so surprised and pleased. It was funny--the nurses said we made their day.

After that we went to a bar and I drank hard stuff-- diet coke, actually ;) then we got back on the bus and went to the legion where we mingled and then at last sat down to eat. No one got a chance to give a speech except for the minister. They signed the papers, were officially married, we all cheered, and then we ate. Not exceptionally outstanding food, except the cake was KILLER good. After that they cleared out the tables and there was dancing.

I've never been 'clubbing' but I can see why it must be so much fun. To be surrounded by a group of good friends and other people who just love the music and want to have a good time--to listen to great songs and make up the steps and just BE with people you know and like... it was awesome. And it wouldn't have been without Andrea and Missy, who just made me feel so at home on the dance floor with them. I danced for five or six hours, until the DJ left at midnight. The first dance was the slow dance for the bride and groom and I forget what song they danced too but they cried and I think I cried too. Then I had to dance with Kevin, and that wasn't too bad. He's a great guy, if a bit rough around the edges. After that it was a free for all... one old couple danced to the beer barrel polka and totally kicked everyone elses' asses... said they'd been doing it for 47 years, and it showed! they were so good. Everytime I wanted to sit down they put on another good song. Finally I dropped exhausted into a chair for a breather. They played a few slow songs and I danced with my dad, who cried and made me cry, and Missy, just for the hell of it... and then there was the dollar dance, where you paid a buck to slow dance with Jessi or Casey. I danced with them both.

They played Love Shack, Greased Lightning, all sorts of crap that got people interested and excited, and I quite frankly had the greatest time ever.

When we finally left, we were starving so we stopped at the gas station for grub and then drove back to the hotel. When we pulled into the parking lot there were two cop cars in the parking lot. The cops were searching a car with dogs and flashlights--we think there was a drug bust or something like that. I let down my hair and fell into bed.

I woke up yesterday SO incredibly sick I thought I would die. Ate some breakfast, chatted with other people in the hotel about the wedding, went to the legion and helped clean up. Then we ate lunch and watched Jessi and Casey open gifts. Packed up, then got the hell out, and I fell asleep on the way home for an hour or so. I was exhausted. I studied a little for African Storytelling and then fell asleep again. Then we went to Culver's for supper but I couldn't taste anything because my nose was plugged. Tried to study again on the way home but fell asleep until we got back to Madison. I dropped my junk off in my room just before 8 and said good bye to the family; checked my mail, tried to do some homework, fell asleep for two hours on my back in the loft, woke up at 11, turned off the lights, and went to bed for another 4 hours, woke up, felt horrible, went to the bathroom, fell asleep for another hour, woke up, fell asleep for another hour, got up and took some medicine, tossed restlessly until 7, and got up for good. I took my African test this morning, finished off as much physics homework as I could manage this afternoon until 6:30, and then BAM came here to take care of stuff.

I have math homework and lab prep to do for tomorrow, african homework and URS homework for wednesday, a physics test on wednesday, math test on thursday, spanish in class composition on friday and a rewrite of the other composition on friday too. and more physics homework for next week. And I need to set up some dr and dentist appointments, call my dean, and fill out applications for Illumination.

It's gonna be a busy week.

oh yeah and I need to SEE SERENITY!! *poing* zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Indeed...it will be fun.

Homework is such a wonderful thing...as soon as you finish one assignment you realized that there are 7 more that need to be worked on NOW if they're going to get turned on time...

Darn classes interfering with more interesting activities...

Stories I'm currently working on.

***Tbook1 (Time and Chaos, needs a new name, needs to be edited)

***Book of Sun (Just needs to be edited. Tis a Nano novel)

***Book of Whispers part 1 (Does not jive at all with part 2; needs to be rewritten to fit and to have less suckage)

***Book of Whispers part 2 (Needs some rehaul editing, needs some loose ends tied up, needs to fit)

***Book of Whispers part 3 (Needs to be finished... then needs to die o.o Not sure if I need a third part in the series)

***Dium's Story (Needs a point, progress, anything... needs to be integrated into Tbook1, since that is what it is a part of, mainly)

***Trio Story with Jackie and Louise (Maybe we should get together and work on this, guys)

***Demon Story (This is working out pretty good so far. I like the plot, it's a bit convoluted, and the characters are interesting)

***New Witch Story (It's only 30 pages long, dang)

***Dragon's Voices (This has SO much potential! wee!)
