So we went to JCPenny's to get our hair done and they hadn't told two or three of the hairstylists to come in early (our appointments were at 8:30 and 9). There were 4 bridesmaids, Jessi, and the flower girl whose hair needed to be done, and one of the hair stylists didn't show until 9:00 or so. My hair didn't get started until 9:30 or so--an hour after it should have been. Jessi got it all worked out and then had to run to the church to change for pictures. When my hair finally got done it was 20 after 10 and we had to make a run for the church. We got dressed SO quickly, put on a bit of makeup, and then BAM pictures!

The pictures took a solid two hours, at the least... maybe more. The photographer was an awesome friendly guy who really got everyone to smile, but two hour in the shoes was simply death. By the end of the shoot Jessi had decided not to wear her shoes for the ceremony and said the bridesmaids didn't have to either, if she didn't. But we all decided that since we had paid for them, we were going to wear them, so we did.

Let me establish here that Jessi looked absolutely GORGEOUS. There was this one shot where they dragged Casey (the husband) in backwards and made him stand just to the side of Jessica without looking at her and then the photographer took a photo of the look on his face when he first saw her in the dress. It was so beautiful... as soon as he saw her his jaw just dropped and then he climbed up onto the stage and kissed her, he was so stunned. :)

At last, the wedding. My brother was an usher and he lead in my mom, sat her in the 'seat of honor' left side of the aisle, front row. Then the bridesmaids came in. I was the last bridesmaid other than Andrea, who was the maid of honor... I walked in on Kevin's arm. He's one of Casey's brothers, not too bad looking and a fair bit nicer than a few of the other guys who were my options, but he's married already. Pity. He knew how bad our shoes were so once when we were standing up there I just rolled my eyes and mouthed 'ow' just slightly and he almost laughed during the ceremony. oops.

When they started playing the bridal march Jessi started crying. So did Dad--and it's impossible not to cry when Big Buff Dad cries. So I almost started crying too. Dad handed Jessi off to Casey and then sat down; Jessi and Casey went up the stage, and the agonizing speech began.

It was a far more religious ceremony than I thought it would be. All sorts of religious references, and the minister said 'let us pray' at least three times during the ceremony. He never did say 'Marriage is what brings us together today' or 'love, true love,' which is a good thing because anyone who's seen Princess Bride (aka, my entire half of the family) would have burst out laughing. My shoes were KILLING me and I almost fell over.

They exchanged vows, lit a candle--Casey was at this time almost fainting from the heat. He gets hot really easily. Andrea had to hold Jessi's bouquet so I had to hold both hers and mine; then when she had to straighten Jessi's uber long train I had to hold all three bouquets! fortunately I didn't drop any, AND, despite the fact that I sneezed all morning and all evening, I didn't even have the temptation to sneeze during the ceremony (though I almost fell over once when shifting from foot to foot to relieve the agony of the shoes).

And then the wedding was over, but the day wasn't! continued...

Stories I'm currently working on.

***Tbook1 (Time and Chaos, needs a new name, needs to be edited)

***Book of Sun (Just needs to be edited. Tis a Nano novel)

***Book of Whispers part 1 (Does not jive at all with part 2; needs to be rewritten to fit and to have less suckage)

***Book of Whispers part 2 (Needs some rehaul editing, needs some loose ends tied up, needs to fit)

***Book of Whispers part 3 (Needs to be finished... then needs to die o.o Not sure if I need a third part in the series)

***Dium's Story (Needs a point, progress, anything... needs to be integrated into Tbook1, since that is what it is a part of, mainly)

***Trio Story with Jackie and Louise (Maybe we should get together and work on this, guys)

***Demon Story (This is working out pretty good so far. I like the plot, it's a bit convoluted, and the characters are interesting)

***New Witch Story (It's only 30 pages long, dang)

***Dragon's Voices (This has SO much potential! wee!)
