So I had fun today. Finished up for Nano. I'll put up some pretty icons later. I also provoked a friend to evangelize me (for a paper). It's kind of an interesting experience. Those who know me well know that religion is a topic on which my beliefs are tenuous. NOTE: WHAT FOLLOWS IS MY RELIGIOUS OPINION. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT, GO ELSEWHERE. I believe in God simply because there is a difference between a cell and a robot; there is a thing called life that is greater than the parts of which it is made up; there is something extra there that exists and that *is*, and that in its own way is a form of proof, to me, that there is a God. We can create life in the laboratory, but only by following in God's footprints, as it were. But in my opinion also, every human being is born differently, raised differently; every human being therefore approaches God differently. How can ONE religion be the 'right way' when there are billions of approaches to God? I know my excuses against Christianity are arrogant and self serving, but what it boils down to is this; I have *tried* to follow Jesus, but each time I do I don't *believe* that I believe in Jesus. I start to think that I'm only faking, and I can't STAND faking a belief, just to go along with things; just to get into Heaven, basically! I cannot stand the thought of dancing the dance, playing the game, changing color like the chameleon just to get into Heaven. I would rather be true to myself and my beliefs than fake something, especially in the face of God. NOTE: END RELIGIOUS DISCUSSION I'm tired. and I have stuff to do. Are you bored? go read my story. *prods it* |

***Tbook1 (Time and Chaos, needs a new name, needs to be edited) ***Book of Sun (Just needs to be edited. Tis a Nano novel) ***Book of Whispers part 1 (Does not jive at all with part 2; needs to be rewritten to fit and to have less suckage) ***Book of Whispers part 2 (Needs some rehaul editing, needs some loose ends tied up, needs to fit) ***Book of Whispers part 3 (Needs to be finished... then needs to die o.o Not sure if I need a third part in the series) ***Dium's Story (Needs a point, progress, anything... needs to be integrated into Tbook1, since that is what it is a part of, mainly) ***Trio Story with Jackie and Louise (Maybe we should get together and work on this, guys) ***Demon Story (This is working out pretty good so far. I like the plot, it's a bit convoluted, and the characters are interesting) ***New Witch Story (It's only 30 pages long, dang) ***Dragon's Voices (This has SO much potential! wee!) | ![]() |

Well, obviously you believe in Jesus at least to some extent if you want to follow his teachings, right?
I don't know about that, you know. I admit I haven't heard much of his teachings because every time I want to find out about them the people I ask only seem to want to convert me. I'd like to learn, I think. Lend me your bible some time if you have it?
Indeed! Very much enjoyed the religious conversation today. Actually having that discussion was not my intention, by the way. I just get tired of talking to christians about stuff like how to approach said paper because the answers are all the same... *sigh*. I like the way you said "evangalize me" though. it made me giggle. Anyways, before this becomes a short novel, I shall say, love ya, and glad we could talk :) (if you ever have questions, i promise i wont try to convert you:) ) Toodles!
Yeah, I wasn't too worried about you trying to convert me, hon. Because you're cool like that :o
Sure. I'm also sure it wouldn't be too hard to find online. I'd recommend any of the four Gospel books - Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John. The first three all basically tell the same story, while John's is a bit different.
