Ice skating is both le joy and le pain.

I truly enjoyed myself Saturday hanging out with The Lab and skating, and this time I got my skates tied tight enough so I could actually move! It was exhilirating and energizing and exhausting, especially after a couple of long walks earlier in the day. So I did it again Sunday! The skating (not the long walking, although I put in a decent attempt at that too).

Watched episode 2 of Noein (and 3? *uncertain*). And also watched Sailor Moon and Cowboy Bebop online. And the Inuyasha Moveie 4 (squee!). And then I downloaded a crapload of InuManga, and finished reading Full Metal Alchemist (through ch55, which is all that I have). Yet for such a geeked and fun weekend, I did seem to get a lot done. Sent off my two REUs due Wednesday (I need to send the other one out, due Thursday). I only have to email one final piece to the MIT one, and I'll get that done tonight. I also put a dent in the giant amount of psych reading I have to do, and read my URS papers/made my URS questions, only to find out today that class was cancelled and moved to Wednesday. Doh. In which time slot I conveniently scheduled a Psych experiment, which I need to go to for extra credit. Ah well; I submitted to the Ugrad Symp last year; I don't need to go to this year's.

I also cashed my Bursar's check and called the telescope place (they are shipping me my new tripod leg). Hmm... and I tried the oscilloscope and the linux program today (to no avail). And finalized/printed off the tutoring schedule.

So all in all, I got a lot done. I still have a lot to do, though. Reading and notes for math, physics, psych, and medieval studies. Also have to read the lab for tomorrow and do some notes on it, maybe. And math homework problems, and sample physics problems. and the psych handout. Start the apartment master list and visit some more places (gotta call). Set up some random appointments. Vacuum. Organize my papers/stuff. WRITE

I have the urge to read and to write. DAMMIT! why didn't I feel it over break when I had free time? dammitdammit dammit!

Peter says I shouldn't bother submitting a paper to the proceedings of the NCUR. I am inclined to agree, as the hallways are filled with useless books of proceedings that no one wants, not even as filler. Blah and oh well.

I tutored tonight, and someone actually came! Actually they spontaneously asked me if they could study in the room and I said sure, I wasn't tutoring anyone yet, and then of course they wanted help... some pretty easy stuff but also some stuff that I wasn't sure on--and it's acceleration, velocity, position! my main concern was translating an oscillating system (aka, pinball in a frictionless U-bend) into a graph, and figuring out equations for virtually all the graphs involved. I don't think in equations... well, I sort of do, but I only really can determine sine and cosine graphs, not parabolas or partial things that are only a loop above a line, or something like that.

The best part is, the person was early so we finished by 7:15. so now I still have 2 hours to study, and no one else will probably show.

Update (two hours later): had another person come in (for help with the same lab! only at a different section). Went over it again, made some good progress, got confused twice, and then realized that I TOTALLY f'd up the first person's lab. -.- I fail at physics.

Update (ten minutes later): had the first person come back, show me the lab results. Went over it briefly, realized that I, in fact, totally f'd up the second person's lab and only minorly f'd up the first person's lab. yes, I do truly fail at physics.

Stories I'm currently working on.

***Tbook1 (Time and Chaos, needs a new name, needs to be edited)

***Book of Sun (Just needs to be edited. Tis a Nano novel)

***Book of Whispers part 1 (Does not jive at all with part 2; needs to be rewritten to fit and to have less suckage)

***Book of Whispers part 2 (Needs some rehaul editing, needs some loose ends tied up, needs to fit)

***Book of Whispers part 3 (Needs to be finished... then needs to die o.o Not sure if I need a third part in the series)

***Dium's Story (Needs a point, progress, anything... needs to be integrated into Tbook1, since that is what it is a part of, mainly)

***Trio Story with Jackie and Louise (Maybe we should get together and work on this, guys)

***Demon Story (This is working out pretty good so far. I like the plot, it's a bit convoluted, and the characters are interesting)

***New Witch Story (It's only 30 pages long, dang)

***Dragon's Voices (This has SO much potential! wee!)
