Hmm... despite myself, I feel quite successful today.

Things left to do:
~Physics notes (7 more sections)
~Physics practice problems (5 before Friday)
~Math homework (only 2, 3 problems left)
~Math notes (3 more sections)
~Psych reading and notes: 60-100 pages. ugh. ah well
~Look for three papers on twins/stereotypes (by Sunday)
~Medieval studies readings and notes: don't have the notebook until Monday, so I guess maybe 20 pages of reading tops;
~Medieval studies short response paper on reading
~URS: maybe think about starting to work on my paper/ppt
~Finish lab (by Friday)

That's all I have in terms of homework, and it's really not that much. I think I can finish math and physics tonight, and put a serious dent in lab and psych as well. and then if I work reaaaaaaaaal hard Friday, I might have a semi-free weekend--or at least a weekend in which to keep up with things instead of catch up with things.

Other things I have to do:
~set up ~4 more apartment appointments (even though I really like the big studio)
~set up dentist appointment
~contact mom about B-days
~sign up for all those free computer programming courses
~start scholarships and REUs due in a week or so
~set up my hair cut

really, it's really not a lot to do *jumps around* I'm excited.

Worried about this apartment though. I really like it, and it's only 2-3 blocks away from a bus stop any time of night or day... but... safety.

It's on the ground floor (well up half a flight of stairs). Separate entry so not necessarily highly secure (as in, door opens onto street, not onto hallway). Rickety stairs, laundry basement through outside is dismal. Far away from ice skating.

those are the down points. but for the price (with everything included, and they said they could do something about an air conditioner unit if I wanted one), and a free parking spot, and a good location (not too far from campus), and a busline nearby that goes right to work, and the GIANT sized bedroom, and the free porch, and the bathtub and the lights in the bathroom, and the large kitchen, and the all utilities included, and the available hookup for internet...

I don't know. My mom *rolleyes* is upset because the door opens onto the street, you know, keyed entry and all that. But if that's a fear I don't understand how we ever lived in a house! All houses open onto the street (virtually) and they are as secure as the little studio I'm looking at. Maybe less secure because my entrance is up a rickety flight of stairs that no drunk person can maneauvor, and a few yards off the street (it's actually at the back of the house). I do have to walk three blocks for the bus, but ye GODS. That's about how much I walk now at night to get home or between places. It's not that far off of campus that it would be that bad. And Allison lives in that area and gets home by herself juuuuust fine. Plus the late-bus runs out there, too, so I have a ride home no matter what. Plus with a free parking spot I could always take my car to work in the afternoon and then drive it home.

*sigh* I don't know. have any opinions? Safety/security over everything else (should it come first?) or am I describing a situation that isn't as insecure as my mother likes to think?

Stories I'm currently working on.

***Tbook1 (Time and Chaos, needs a new name, needs to be edited)

***Book of Sun (Just needs to be edited. Tis a Nano novel)

***Book of Whispers part 1 (Does not jive at all with part 2; needs to be rewritten to fit and to have less suckage)

***Book of Whispers part 2 (Needs some rehaul editing, needs some loose ends tied up, needs to fit)

***Book of Whispers part 3 (Needs to be finished... then needs to die o.o Not sure if I need a third part in the series)

***Dium's Story (Needs a point, progress, anything... needs to be integrated into Tbook1, since that is what it is a part of, mainly)

***Trio Story with Jackie and Louise (Maybe we should get together and work on this, guys)

***Demon Story (This is working out pretty good so far. I like the plot, it's a bit convoluted, and the characters are interesting)

***New Witch Story (It's only 30 pages long, dang)

***Dragon's Voices (This has SO much potential! wee!)
