Interesting perspective of 9/11 not being done by terrorists; of course you can't trust most of what's on the internet, but still So, as I am heading out of my room to shower, I run into C. in the hallway. C. is the guy whom I met last summer (working at the physics shop thingy) who I thought I sort've hit it off with... before he disappeared off the face of the planet). Anyway, he was hanging up signs for some sort of 'body image' workshop with a girl, and he recognized me and asked me how I was. I was so surprised to see him! I don't really even remember what I said but I do remember that he seemed very interested in offering his hand in a sort of hand-claspy thing. twice. ie, interested in touching me. Yay, a man who is not repulsed by me! and gods, is he hot. Plus just before he left I got a hug out of him (a very tight, fierce hug... mmm, squishies) and told him to email me. The only problem is, of course, why would he be hanging up signs about body image in a woman's dorm with a sort've housefellowing assistant thing with him? I sort of suspect that she is his girlfriend. Which would suck ASS of course. But then... I do remember him being much more... perceptive as to women in science last semester than I expected him to be (we had some conversations). And, last summer, he did ask me out to lunch with him once (though I had just eaten and was on my way back to work, so I had to decline! how HORRIBLE!). So I think at this point it's kind've up to him. Maybe he'll email. And I shall have to work on not coming on too strong. Maybe he'll ask me on a date. then again maybe he'll disappear from the face of the planet like last time. Like I said, it's up to him. (Perhaps you are wondering why I seem giddy about this. Please keep in mind that no boy has shown interest in me since 8th grade. Sure, lots of guys respond to my outgoing chitterchatter of conversation, but they all inevitably end up hooking up with my roommate (last year) or other physics classmates (this year). *sigh* *examines list of stuff to do* it looks horribly long, doesn't it? and though I've been working since 4:30 I haven't gotten that much done. procrastination was involved. Then again, I did complete *some* things. Like my math homework. and my psych reading things. Maybe I can wrap up a couple of those mini papers. or finish my NCUR presentation. that sounds like the best idea. Math: start homework finish homework extra practice problems Physics: finish homework finish extra credit Medieval Studies: start reading books/taking notes start giant MS paper of doom mini MS paper x2 catch up on reading/notes all around Psych: map notes into a semblance of comprehension start giant psych paper of doom start reading an unquiet mind review various experiments from book take the psychoanalysis test thing Lab: work on it this weekend??? probably not URS: start giant paper o doom start mid sized paper o doom conferences: figure out the whole check in thing pack make 3 backups of presentation other: call dentist email 'everyone' fill out change of direct deposit form |
