So next week is my day of silence. 24 hour period spent in silence for a cause, the cause of which (at least for this year) is stopping sexual assault/rape and domestic violence. Will gave me some GENIUS ideas in aim... I know I've been doing this alone because I like to challenge myself and see if I can truly spend an entire day without saying anything at all. but if I could get other people to join in too. Spending a day not saying anything at all :) so... if you are interested in spending next monday, the 27th of march, in silence with me... drop me an email, I'll give you an armband (or make your own. Blue); print off some little fliers to hand out to friends or put up in places, hang a notecard on your armband that says: End: Sexual Assault/Rape Domestic Violence Now! or something like that. And spend a day not speaking, and when people try and talk to you show them your little card that says you're not talking for the day and why. Meh... I would love for this to become a big movement. that would be cool. but I'd rather start on a tiny scale and have a few other people help me out *skips back to work* |
