Yay, Minnesota! A variety of highlights for the past few days: My brother is a human being. Which is a bit of a surprise because up until, say, a year or two ago he was an alien being entirely. Now he talks to me, treats me humanly, kind of laughs with me... Wooooww, amazing. Tonight he's grabbing supper from the last good Chinese place in town (all the other places have been transformed into Vietnamese. No offense, but I miss the classic Chinese Restaurant), and then we shall sit around and talk about His Story. He writes fantasy too but he's obsessed with having and planning the perfect world, and all the details of history and species and etc. That gives us some common ground. I hung out with Sara and Megan, Stefi's friends--who are now officially mine, thank you :)--Saturday night for a bit at Perkins, and then again on Monday night. Monday we got a hotel room for one night, went out to supper, went shopping (jewelry and cloth for making me a cloak of some sort, sans hood. Tis so purdy. I've finally decided that there's nothing wrong with being girly, either.), and went swimming for two hours. It was great--we had the pool to ourselves! who goes to a hotel for Monday night?--until the end when these annoying people came in and started making out. Then we played SNES and did makeup until 4:30 in the morning (officially my latest bed time ever, I think). We slept until 8:30, when housekeeping knocked on the door--dammit! Then there was some sleepiness with my sister on the way home Tuesday, and I snagged Katie at 1:30 pm and managed to get all three of us in the front seat. That was impressive. We visited high school and said hi to some people. I wanted to see my creative writing teacher but she wasn't there and she never answers my emails. *scowl* and Roundelay wasn't meeting anyway. Curses! they are done ahead of time this year. I did see my old journalism teacher. teh joy. Katie and I went off into the wild blue yonder--NHCC, and then we stopped at Verizon and tried to get me some phone minutes. That took--I kid you not--almost an hour. Gods, I hate Verizon. They are obnoxiously slow. When I finally got helped I was done in less than ten minutes. Then we grabbed lemonade slushies from Panera, hung out at Barnes and Noble for an hour, stopped by Baker's Square for supper, and came home. And went to bed, since we were both exhausted. Woke up early though and did serious work on the story that we are co-authoring. It involves... dragons. butterflies... magic... stuff like that. Decided on a very precise schedule--500+ words due Sunday by midnight, sent to the other author, who also must write 500+ words by the following Sunday... etc. Then we played Katamari Damacy. That game is addicting enough for me to consider buying a PS2 just to be able to play it. GOD I wish they had something similar online or for a computer. That would... be... awesome. And then there was the now. Tonight is Karaoke Night at BWW... that should be interesting, if not scary. Me and a Terry Pratchett book have a date now. |

***Tbook1 (Time and Chaos, needs a new name, needs to be edited) ***Book of Sun (Just needs to be edited. Tis a Nano novel) ***Book of Whispers part 1 (Does not jive at all with part 2; needs to be rewritten to fit and to have less suckage) ***Book of Whispers part 2 (Needs some rehaul editing, needs some loose ends tied up, needs to fit) ***Book of Whispers part 3 (Needs to be finished... then needs to die o.o Not sure if I need a third part in the series) ***Dium's Story (Needs a point, progress, anything... needs to be integrated into Tbook1, since that is what it is a part of, mainly) ***Trio Story with Jackie and Louise (Maybe we should get together and work on this, guys) ***Demon Story (This is working out pretty good so far. I like the plot, it's a bit convoluted, and the characters are interesting) ***New Witch Story (It's only 30 pages long, dang) ***Dragon's Voices (This has SO much potential! wee!) | ![]() |
