My knuckles still hurt from Friday, when I decided I needed to toughen up my calluses.... (dang, that word is hard to spell--it always looks incorrect) in order to better do karate. To do this I spent a fair amount of time lightly punching the edge of the table that I work at, and successfully bruised my most prominent knuckle (that of the middle finger) on either hand. At least they don't ache like they did Friday night. I finished reading Justice Hall and it was as wonderous as I remembered it to be. I really enjoy Laurie R. King--no one does Sherlock Holmes like she does (not even A.C.Doyle, whose narratives never quite evoked the senses as richly as King does, though of course his was the original), and I can't wait to start reading the next two books in the series. There's not a lot of time for reading, however, with work and the social life I seemed to have suddenly acquired. Julymo is coming up! I can't wait--all though this time I approach it with something akin to apprehension. This is the first year that I've been so occupied (though I suppose November's NaNoWriMo has always been at the peak of my busy time as well), not only with work but with Other People, too. And on top of that I've chosen something you're not supposed to choose for a topic--a story I've already worked on. Currently I call it demonstory, though there's some thought of the name being Blood Rising or something like that. I've been working on it... for.... I would say almost a year now, though I'm not entirely certain. I need to do some work on it before Julymo--character outlines, and hammer to the plot as it were. But what if I fail? I've never yet failed a Nano. Worse, what if my work suffers for it? I would be upset about that also. I should just work extra hard for the next two weeks to make up for any slacking in July. er... maybe. |

***Tbook1 (Time and Chaos, needs a new name, needs to be edited) ***Book of Sun (Just needs to be edited.
