To love deeply in one direction makes us more loving in all others. --Anne-Sophie Swetchine-- Side Note: the site that hosts my images is out. Sooooo no top bar. Who know when they'll be back? Re-watched episode 1 of ergo proxy, and watched Brokeback Mountain. It's a good movie--nice tragic unobtainable love and it's nice not to have it all about the weaker girl for once... in this case one (both? neither?) of the men was too weak to resolve the love. It was a little awkward, maybe, but not too much. Some of what they said was a bit difficult to catch (accents resplete with cigarettes and mumbling), but it was definitely not a movie solely about sex. It was about love instead. I found the ending sad in a nostalgic way, ending with a faintly uplifting hint of hope. That's a bit of a stretch but my English class side is coming in to analyze the significance of events that could have been left out... *snicker* Anyway, with any luck I will manage to watch Serenity, the Producers, Clue, and some Ergo Proxy in the next ten days. AND hopefully get some work done. And sleep, too. And play quintuple solitaire (hells yes!) I also went swimming, did seven full laps and a few minutes of underwater Karate (which total took me 1/2 hour). Played basketball. Went to the strawberry festival and rode a Ferris Wheel for the FIRST time in my life (seriously!). However, there were hardly any strawberries at said festival, a bit odd considering the name. They did serve strawberry shortcake. Ah well. And onion rings as big as your FACE! NO KIDDING. they were nasty looking :P Got a spirit level key chain for a buck. Probably a rip off but ah well :) |
