Bah. Been a while since I've been on here. Had the presentation yesterday. It being over + it going well + free lunch + really good exercise workout + getting off work early + nap + fun with roommates all evening + a little bit of writing before bed = really freaking good day. woohoo! Now that the presentation is done, I just have some analysis left to do at work (and by some I mean a lot or all) and the giant paper to write. A week and a half left to do those things. Gods, I'd better start on the paper. I need a haircut. I'm getting shaggy :) Chatted with Louise the other day and now I'm all pumped for the coming semester. I am a little nervous though--I'll have a lot going on. Astrophysics and Math will be hard; Lit of Gender + Sex and Intro Survey of Africa will be time consuming. Then five to ten hours a week at my lab (I do miss being there and I hope being here has improved my work ethic or at least my ability to program and take notes), three hours of tutoring a week, three hours of learning how to tutor a week, and three hours of preparing for tutoring a week. Then ten hours at the library help desk, and about two hours a day exercising. Add in the fact that Thursday is supper w/ friends, social hour, and sci fi club (so busy from 5:30 to 11:30, pretty much) and that I'm a horrible procrastinator but want to spend a lot of time studying and stuff, and then physics club officer meetings and events, and at least three hours of time hanging out with Stefi, and it's looking... damn hectic. Maybe I can shave a half hour or so off if I bring my reading for the Lit course to the gym with me while I elliptical. But I don't elliptical fast when I'm reading. The fat above my butt has started to go down. I think I've lost 4, maybe 5 lbs. That's about one a week. Give me a year, that'd be 50 lbs off O_O that would be amazing. Yay, exercise! |
