Re-watched the first 6 episodes of Hellsing this morning and some of last night. Mwahahahahahahahaha. So good! I have high hopes for the rest of the OVA, too. Also watched the first 5 episodes of Jyu Oh Sei and it is indeed as great as Louise says ;) Discovered that the local Best Buy has a (relatively) large anime selection, including the complete season of Cowboy Bebop. Almost bought it, but couldn't. Grr.... and Howl's Moving Castle, but I was sure that it was overpriced by $5 there. Call me cheap, 'cause I am. Started reading the Walls of Air by Barbara Hambly. Spent some time re-reading my own writing last night. That happens sometimes, oopsey daisey. AAAAAAnd finally watched Harry Potter Movie 4 Did you know you're like... a year and a half behind? Yes, yes I knew. I like the HP movies/books... but I hate that I like them. Why? Because it's popular opinion. I can't help it, I truly can't. This boiling scorn rises in the back of my throat whenever anyone says Harry Potter, a little voice that goes, "Harry Potter?" and then scoffs, loudly and obnoxiously. Oh, and jealousy plays a factor. Yes, I'm jealous of a good and published author even though I'm just too damn lazy to write and edit and try to get myself published. So, basically you did geek stuff ALL FREAKIN DAY? As a matter of fact, no! I went out at 2 to buy stamps, have lunch, and mail my mail. Then I walked to this coffee-shop I saw earlier. Unfortunately, it was much further away than I had originally anticipated, so it took me 40, 45 minutes. Oops. Chris and company were passing by a bit later so they picked me up and I went to the mall. Bought earrings. Didn't get my ears tripled pierced again (shaaaaame... some day I'll work up the courage), but I snagged a $12 towel (the one that made it here originally got left at Brian's lake house last weekend). Then there was supper and the calling of the Twin and the Mother and the Brother, all three relatively delightful conversations. What to do tonight? I should write some more. I lament my lack of motivation. blaaaah. |
