Holy gods... internet, sweet, blessed internet! *clings desperately to it* There is no internet in my new lil apartment yet. As an ironic twist of fate, my mother got high speed the day after I moved out. Curses! Plusses: I love my apartment, I'm all but finished unpacking, there's tons of room, my loft bed is a little wobbly but otherwise working out great, I have 1/2 my textbooks already, I ran errands and got a lot done and have plenty of time to watch Firefly and MASH. Minuses: no internet!! AIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII! also the shower produces hot water most reluctantly, and doesn't drain well either. Aaaaand lots of noise from a club a block and a half away at night, though the window blocks most of that. I am kind of lonely but it's a good, peaceful lonely. If I were just going to live in the apartment by myself all year and do nothing I would be very upset. However, it is an ideal atmosphere for study. I now have a desk and two tables, so plenty of space to do my work, and air conditioning and heat make for an ideal workplace. In other news: GUINEA PIG! Meet Kaylee. Kaylee is as sweet as her Firefly namesake but perhaps slightly less curious and a bit more chicken. She really likes carrots and being held in a stable position for a long time. She's a Rex or Tedddy, which means she has kinky fur like this pig:  but she's a calico pattern... brown back, white neck and nose, one half of the face ginger and the other half black. She is very little yet so she doesn't eat a lot.Wish I had a picture of her. No digital camera for me so no luck there. Anyway, Jackie, Louise, Katy, Katie, Robin, poke me in email sometime, eh? ***Tbook1 (Time and Chaos, needs a new name, needs to be edited) ***Book of Sun (Just needs to be edited. Tis a Nano novel) ***Book of Whispers part 1 (Does not jive at all with part 2; needs to be rewritten to fit and to have less suckage) ***Book of Whispers part 2 (Needs some rehaul editing, needs some loose ends tied up, needs to fit) ***Book of Whispers part 3 (Needs to be finished... then needs to die o.o Not sure if I need a third part in the series) ***Dium's Story (Needs a point, progress, anything... needs to be integrated into Tbook1, since that is what it is a part of, mainly) ***Trio Story with Jackie and Louise (Maybe we should get together and work on this, guys) ***Demon Story (This is working out pretty good so far. I like the plot, it's a bit convoluted, and the characters are interesting) ***New Witch Story (It's only 30 pages long, dang) ***Dragon's Voices (This has SO much potential! wee!) | |
