It's a Thursday, 5pm... the sun is setting, casting the night sky into shades of navy and soot gray. On the horizon the air is magenta and purple and gold with the dying sun. The moon hovers behind the drifting snow clouds, ghostly and unreal. Earlier the tracings of fine, pebbly snow in the air were like static on a bad TV station, little blips in my vision. As for now, I have just realized that the scan I've been doing for the last hour and a half didn't have the receiver connected. that means I can't use the signal because what I was getting wasn't even looking at the sky. *throws things angrily*... I want to go to sci-fi tonight but the pit of my stomach is screaming at me to do math. I am very behind in math, and it's nano, and I am watching a movie with Bob tomorrow during work, so I won't get much done then either. If I feel good about getting plenty done tonight then I am supposed to let myself write. But as 7:30 approaches the importance of things like math, astro, and the two or three looming papers all seem to fade in importance compared to seeing my friends again and geeking out. I don't think I can not let myself go to sci fi. But I do think that I can work until 5:45 or so, then go to state street for supper, and study at memorial library until 8 before I go see the movie. That sounds feasible. It's cold up here and my fingers are slightly numb. Mmmmm, welcome to winter. |

I like the plot, it's a bit convoluted, and the characters are interesting) ***New Witch Story (It's only 30 pages long, dang) ***Dragon's Voices (This has SO much potential! wee!) | |
