It's been a productive morning so far, even though I've only made a lunch, walked to work, and set up a slew of appointments. I am more and more finding that I enjoy reading manga, but I never know where to start. I am interested in fantasy-based manga with powerful women characters and as little fan service as possible. If anyone has any recommendations, let me know. Right now I am reading: One Piece (well, it's addictive. like crack cocaine)- up to chapter 214 D.Grayman (I would say this one started out a little boring but the backstory of the characters is pretty cool. I wouldn't mind a more interesting villain)- up to chapter 45 Fullmetal Alchemist (good plot, plus an easy read. It's getting darker, and I enjoy that) -up to date, chapter 68 Hellsing (nice and bloody :D and the plot has definitely taken some twists) -up to date, I forget which chapter, through volume 8 I think Inuyasha (well... it's just... the manga's better than the anime... really!...) -I forget precisely where I am with this, maybe chapter 400 something? *uncertain* I saw this one called Baroque that looked shiny; I want to read the mushishi manga; I started Mai-hime but it was far too much fanservice for me; I started reading lovely complex but it bored me; I do want to read the sailor moon manga because I hear it's much better than the anime and it'll be another cheap-easy one. Anything else significant you want to say? like, maybe, what has been bothering you ALL WEEK? blahblah blah, blah blah, quest for a significant other is fruitless, why do we only have one standard of beauty, why can I not help but judge myself by that standard, I am laden with guilt for being a horrible procrastinator yet I can't stop, doing too much stuff also and not getting any of it done, looks like I do have to move out on the 14th so how the FUCK am I going to pull that off, wish other people'd get on top of things, omg too much going on and I have a billion things to do this week, head explodes. the end. ***Tbook1 (Time and Chaos, needs a new name, needs to be edited) ***Book of Sun (Just needs to be edited. Tis a Nano novel) ***Book of Whispers part 1 (Does not jive at all with part 2; needs to be rewritten to fit and to have less suckage) ***Book of Whispers part 2 (Needs some rehaul editing, needs some loose ends tied up, needs to fit) ***Book of Whispers part 3 (Needs to be finished... then needs to die o.o Not sure if I need a third part in the series) ***Dium's Story (Needs a point, progress, anything... needs to be integrated into Tbook1, since that is what it is a part of, mainly) ***Trio Story with Jackie and Louise (Maybe we should get together and work on this, guys) ***Demon Story (This is working out pretty good so far. I like the plot, it's a bit convoluted, and the characters are interesting) ***New Witch Story (It's only 30 pages long, dang) ***Dragon's Voices (This has SO much potential! wee!) | |
