The webcomic list is back. Parsed and altered.

WHY??

Well because I was still reading them, and spending too much time trying to remember which ones I was reading. So, list!

With luck, this list will be static.

I finally finished Harry Potter (was it 6? last year's one). Hated it. Let's not get into a discussion, except that I think Harry's a whiny spoiled brat who needs to get over himself, and Malfoy is a whiny sucky villain, and Snape shouldn't be a villain, and I hate being reminded of high school.

I am currently reading (amongst other things) Fire Logic. And selling stuff. Student football tickets (sort've sold... money hasn't exchanged hands but hey the vouchers aren't here yet either soooo...), an old microwave, an old printer, a stack of five VHS. In theory all of these have been sold but let's see if the deals go through. And buying stuff: groceries, movies, and two peeps to help me move. I've discovered how to use craigslist. It's fun.

Spending a lot of time relaxing. Probably too much. Oh well! ^.^

SNAPE IS SO NOT A VILLAIN.

I can't get past the first 100 pages in Fire Logic. I just don't like it.

Well yes, that's the thing--Snape's "I'm a secret villain" role is far too obvious to be true. But I have a hard time seeing him redeem himself (short of him killing Voldemort).

Here I was thinking that SNAPE might've been a Horcrux for Dumbledore...

I wouldn't mind having Dumbledore evil--now that's something you wouldn't expect. But portraying Snape = evil is just too cliche.

I really like the Elemental Logic books, although like Jackie I had a hard time with the beginning of Fire Logic. I like the second book the best. And I agree, the 6th book was kind of weird and boring, and now I'm kind of worried that the last book is going to be a simple boring quest story with a good vs evil showdown at the end. Yawn. I hope she does something to wrench it out of the predictability trap she's written herself into...

The death was planned, and Harry is a horcrux!!

At least, those are my theories.

*thinks for a while* I suppose it took me a while to get into Fire Logic as well (once I got to Karis, everything went well), but I didn't notice because I was only reading it spottily between being passed-out sick and going to work and meetings.

Next on my list of fantasy to try: Robin Hobb and Katharine Kerr.

I have read Robin Hobb's Assassin (Farseer) trilogy and the first in the sucessive triloy about the fool. I liked them, although they were kinda slow, too. She likes to get her characters bogged down in lots of plot development. But it's nice because the ending is satisfying in that the main character is so changed by events that he doesn't do what you would normally expect a high fantasy main character to do.

Stories I'm currently working on.

***Tbook1 (Time and Chaos, needs a new name, needs to be edited)

***Book of Sun (Just needs to be edited. Tis a Nano novel)

***Book of Whispers part 1 (Does not jive at all with part 2; needs to be rewritten to fit and to have less suckage)

***Book of Whispers part 2 (Needs some rehaul editing, needs some loose ends tied up, needs to fit)

***Book of Whispers part 3 (Needs to be finished... then needs to die o.o Not sure if I need a third part in the series)

***Dium's Story (Needs a point, progress, anything... needs to be integrated into Tbook1, since that is what it is a part of, mainly)

***Trio Story with Jackie and Louise (Maybe we should get together and work on this, guys)

***Demon Story (This is working out pretty good so far. I like the plot, it's a bit convoluted, and the characters are interesting)

***New Witch Story (It's only 30 pages long, dang)

***Dragon's Voices (This has SO much potential! wee!)
