So, part of the reason I've been hella busy this summer is that I'm on the planning commmittee for Geek Kon, Madison's convention for all things geek. Specifically, I'm helping out with the sci fi viewing stuff (it's hard to get permissions for showing movies at a public event without having to pay lots of money for em). And I do other stuff, specifically with the tabletop gaming room and Geek Cranium. But anyway, it adds a buttload of "small errands that can only be run in the afternoons when I am not at the library", and I only have two afternoons in which these multitudinous errands can be completed. Urk! Research is... going along. slowly. forcefully. I keep getting all ready to settle into it and then I kind've tweak out and get distracted by 1000000s of shiny things all at once. On the plus side, I'm having one of the greatest summers ever. I'm enjoying myself, reading, writing, seeing movies, visiting friends, playing video games. It's great, and due to the fact that I have research going on I don't go stir-crazy with boredom. I am heading up to visit friends and family in August. Hopefully this will be entertaining for everyone involved. Ohh, and I worked out some of my moving problems: I am going to move my stuff into Louise's house for a week or two, and then move it into my own apartment when I get back from MN. Yes, it sucks, and I have to hire movers and a moving truck TWICE, but at least I won't get kicked out or be homeless for a night. Thanks Louise! you have been amazing on so many levels that I don't know properly how to thank you! On the down side of life, I am not planning on attending fencing for pretty much the rest of July. 1) I'm uber busy with the research x2, geek-kon, and having fun. and 2) I really want to get myself into better shape, and that requires a more rigorous work out than fencing. Don't get me wrong; fencing is very aerobic and hard to do and it gets the heart rate up. But I spend three hours twice a week there getting basically an hour's workout, and it's driving me nuts. I am going to try to go to the gym (starting this coming monday) and elliptical and lift weights. In combo these things and preparing should only take about an hour and a half a day. If I can keep that up for ~ 2 weeks (until the beginning of August, when my research ends and I have some free time), I might start going back to fencing. If I have time. |

***Tbook1 (Time and Chaos, needs a new name, needs to be edited) ***Book of Sun (Just needs to be edited. Tis a Nano novel) ***Book of Whispers part 1 (Does not jive at all with part 2; needs to be rewritten to fit and to have less suckage) ***Book of Whispers part 2 (Needs some rehaul editing, needs some loose ends tied up, needs to fit) ***Book of Whispers part 3 (Needs to be finished... then needs to die o.o Not sure if I need a third part in the series) ***Dium's Story (Needs a point, progress, anything... needs to be integrated into Tbook1, since that is what it is a part of, mainly) ***Trio Story with Jackie and Louise (Maybe we should get together and work on this, guys) ***Demon Story (This is working out pretty good so far. I like the plot, it's a bit convoluted, and the characters are interesting) ***New Witch Story (It's only 30 pages long, dang) ***Dragon's Voices (This has SO much potential! wee!) | ![]() |
