Wednesday: The trip up the conference was fairly unremarkable, except for some construction, a fantastic sunset, and a few interesting detours. We stopped at a gas station that was not actually a gas station and almost got stuck in some wet cement. Abby liked the countryside. Thursday: I lost my cell phone early in the morning. The conference was actually fairly boring so I finished reading a book. We ended up in Duluth in the evening and went out to supper. Then we took a long walk. While we were passing over a bridge that spanned the entrance to the Lake, a large cruise ship came along and all the alarms sounded. Fortunately we got off before they started raising the bridge. It was pretty cool to watch the large counterweights. Lake Superior is beautiful. Friday: Again, the conference proved boring. This time I didn't bring a book. Found my cell phone (there was much panic between these two points). After lunch there was a quick award ceremony, I got two small checks, and then I drove down to the TC. Went right to J.'s and took a nap, and then we were off. Picked up N., R., and alcohol, and we got to our hotel and went out to supper. We ate at Ruby Tuesday's (which is remarkably good), and then we went back to the hotel for a quick bit. J. had vanilla vodka in coke which is pretty good; I only had half a shot after eating since I was going to be the driver. We got lost first but then we made it to the Rush (which was, formerly, the Rodeo... I think this is where Jessi used to go and I can see why! It was so much fun!). And nobody got smashed. I tasted a few things (amaretto sour = +, strawberry kamikaze = +, peach sour = -, long island = -), but over the course of 6 hours, it had pretty much no effect. They were drunk, but not too bad, and we did a lot of dancing. By the time we stopped at Perkin's and discovered that N. had lost her license and card, the Rush was closed, so we went back to our hotel and went to sleep. There was the singing of Charlie and Candy Mountain (don't ask!), but eventually everyone fell asleep. We didn't even stay up that late. Saturday: Slept late. Went out for coffee with N., J., and R., and then ended up at Dad's because they all were only going to be around for a few more days and wanted to see their families. I didn't stay long, went to Robin's. We went out to the mall for lunch and shopping (I got shoes. I don't know why.), and then to supper and to target (school supplies! squee!). I called Sarah and she hasn't move in yet |

***Tbook1 (Time and Chaos, needs a new name, needs to be edited) ***Book of Sun (Just needs to be edited. Tis a Nano novel) ***Book of Whispers part 1 (Does not jive at all with part 2; needs to be rewritten to fit and to have less suckage) ***Book of Whispers part 2 (Needs some rehaul editing, needs some loose ends tied up, needs to fit) ***Book of Whispers part 3 (Needs to be finished... then needs to die o.o Not sure if I need a third part in the series) ***Dium's Story (Needs a point, progress, anything... needs to be integrated into Tbook1, since that is what it is a part of, mainly) ***Trio Story with Jackie and Louise (Maybe we should get together and work on this, guys) ***Demon Story (This is working out pretty good so far. I like the plot, it's a bit convoluted, and the characters are interesting) ***New Witch Story (It's only 30 pages long, dang) ***Dragon's Voices (This has SO much potential! wee!) | ![]() |

Hi!
Sorry I didn't call you back. I did get my birthday present, thank you very much! Things have been crazy here, I worked yesterday and today, and we're leaving on Tuesday for Alaska. Sounds like you had fun at "Rush" (it will always be Rodeo to me.... LOL). I used to love that place! Have fun in the cities, so sorry I missed you! PS, I'm reading HP 7, have you read it yet? I guess I should ask if you've even read 6?
Love you lots,
J
Heya hon! I hope you have lots of fun up in Alaska. Be sure to take lots of pictures!
The Rush/Rodeo has reawakened my affection for country music.... damned catchy lyrics...
I just finished HP7. this morning. after pretty much reading all night. I've only had 4 hours of sleep (aaagh). IT WAS REALLY GOOD! surprising, eh, at least coming from me?
<3 you!
