*I acquired a slew of books on Geek Tour on Monday (squee!) *Found out that Astro couldn't be moved so I had to drop fencing: sabre (NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOES!) and take theatrical instead (it looks kind've interesting). *Mostly arranged for my Quantum tutor but there are a few remaining difficulties that I have to work out. Quantum looks haaaaaaaaaaard (sadness) *Talked to Jacki this morning; she is in Ireland all ready (score!) *Can't wait for Poetry next week Monday (squeeeeEEEEeee yay) *Scifi Club tonight (happiness!) *Hung out with Stefanie yesterday (more happiness!) *My Women and Health class looks pretty neat (yay) *I hope to go to the farmer's market Saturday morning (mmm... baked goods) About a month ago, I was driving home on a late hazy, orange and amber afternoon, and over one stretch of the road there were... hundreds of seagulls overhead. Just... hanging there, swooping and turning. It was very strange, the sheer quantity of them that just kept flying. When I reached the next bend in the road, they were gone. So, when I took the car in on Tuesday to have the brakes fixed, I saw a flock of seagulls circling across the street. I went to the corner to investigate and ended up standing there for 20, 25 minutes, during which thousands of seagulls came and landed on the roof of a car leadership. Twice, they all took off, thousands of them swirling up like flakes of snow on a gust of wind, pouring off into the distance, but more came and landed there, as if waiting. Not just seagulls, too--a few dusty sparrows and blackbirds, like flecks of ash fading into the wakening sky. I'm sure it's some sort of natural phenomenon. you say that but you can't hide the fact that you're just as gleeful that it happened. Do you think it makes you special? It was magic. Like the feeling I got when driving to the Ferry with Stefanie--like I could reach out and seize the cliff face, or the pine forest, or the dusty blue hills, or the surface of the sun-dappled water. Something was there, I could feel it through me. Maybe I'm just not able to see how yet. still believing in magic? I believe in magic the way some people believe in God. They sit around and think honestly about how there's really no proof for it, just a feeling and a knowledge of some form of logic or structure to the world, and despite objections they go on believing, because something basic inside of them can and does. So you're capable of believing in magic but not in Jesus? maybe it really is the fault of all the stories... maybe if you had grown up reading the bible and religious texts and listening to Jesus stories you could believe in him too Maybe! too late to find out, though, I'm already deeply socialized. |

***Tbook1 (Time and Chaos, needs a new name, needs to be edited) ***Book of Sun (Just needs to be edited. Tis a Nano novel) ***Book of Whispers part 1 (Does not jive at all with part 2; needs to be rewritten to fit and to have less suckage) ***Book of Whispers part 2 (Needs some rehaul editing, needs some loose ends tied up, needs to fit) ***Book of Whispers part 3 (Needs to be finished... then needs to die o.o Not sure if I need a third part in the series) ***Dium's Story (Needs a point, progress, anything... needs to be integrated into Tbook1, since that is what it is a part of, mainly) ***Trio Story with Jackie and Louise (Maybe we should get together and work on this, guys) ***Demon Story (This is working out pretty good so far. I like the plot, it's a bit convoluted, and the characters are interesting) ***New Witch Story (It's only 30 pages long, dang) ***Dragon's Voices (This has SO much potential! wee!) | ![]() |

I didn't grow up listening to Jesus stories, and here I stand :D Sorry, just had to add :)
Lol, no apologies needed. Just goes to show that those deep seated thoughts are usually unfounded.
