It's been a busy half-month. Highlights: Earlier: Trying to stay on a decent diet and not succeeding very well (sad) The McNair Grad Application Retreat was amazing and I learned a TON about writing the paper and other things (YAY) and got through two drafts of the personal statement (yay!) with lots of work left to be done. WS Midterm went decently well; I'm sure I did at least average (ehh) Geek.kon: was AMAZING! I ran so much stuff, volunteered for a bunch of rooms, moderated the Geek Cranium Tournament, and had a lot of fun besides. I painted a cloud wolf in the Paint and Take, played some board games, saw Sarah Monette, Joan D Vinge, Jim Frenkel (sp?) and Pat Rothfuss at their panel, participated in the Anime 101 panel (badly), appeared on CNN for 1/3 of a second (EEEEE!!!!), got interviewed for the Badger Herald (*giggle*), attended the Chad Vader panel and watched a few episodes (ehhh... not that great. but decent). I got 4 hours of sleep on Saturday because Paddy and Hannah and Sarah and Marian and Creighton and Carolyn and Marian's boyfriend were all over and up until the wee hours, and we watched AvP, among other things. And then Sunday night there was basically a party with the security staff (who thought we were awesome and whom we thought were awesome) at the Nitty Gritty, which was amazing. This Past Week: Went to the Grad School Fair (it was fun, I got a lot of info and met a lot of people and talked to this guy from Scotland... maybe I'll go there for grad school!) Turned in another shitty homework set for Quantum (*cries*) and a not so great homework set for Astro (*cries some more*)... ughhh... Was very productive on Saturday (yay!) except for the farmer's market which cancelled out my attempts to be healthy (curses... baked goods are my weakness) I look forward to seeing my family next weekend and heading up to Superior for some amazing relaxation time. But FIRST, I must prepare for and take the Quantum Midterm Of Doom, and finish my paper for WS and have it edited by the writing center, AND mail my freakin bookmooch books. gyeah! Oh yes, and put a major dent in Astro homework, and catch up on reading in all my classes, and attend two readings for my poetry class. gyeaaaaaah death |

***Tbook1 (Time and Chaos, needs a new name, needs to be edited) ***Book of Sun (Just needs to be edited. Tis a Nano novel) ***Book of Whispers part 1 (Does not jive at all with part 2; needs to be rewritten to fit and to have less suckage) ***Book of Whispers part 2 (Needs some rehaul editing, needs some loose ends tied up, needs to fit) ***Book of Whispers part 3 (Needs to be finished... then needs to die o.o Not sure if I need a third part in the series) ***Dium's Story (Needs a point, progress, anything... needs to be integrated into Tbook1, since that is what it is a part of, mainly) ***Trio Story with Jackie and Louise (Maybe we should get together and work on this, guys) ***Demon Story (This is working out pretty good so far. I like the plot, it's a bit convoluted, and the characters are interesting) ***New Witch Story (It's only 30 pages long, dang) ***Dragon's Voices (This has SO much potential! wee!) | |
