Quantum Homework: done
WS Paper: draft 1 done and writing center editing gained
Astro homework: begun problem 1/4
Twin-time: complete and wonderous
Labwork: uhhhhh I didn't get credited in the email for my role in the data reduction we did today; they didn't even sign it from me, even though I got them started and explained stuff. Maybe I'm being sensitive, but it looks like I wasn't even there :P
Fun: read a novel. Saw a really FANTASTIC play (A Nervous Smile).
-----------------------------

Images come to me fast when I'm walking. Sometimes its series of words triggered by an association. Tonight I stood at a bus stop for 10 minutes and watched a man taking down a sign above the neon lights of his store. I watched his wife and two children in the window, the curious trackings of a child watching her father work. I watched him pull and pull at the sign with hands that were naked in the bone-dry winter air. The sign ripped once. The ladder he climbed bounced and swayed with uncertainty, and he had to charge up it each time he used it, as if climbing it slowly was impossibly frightning. I watched him pull at the ties with fingers that must have been white with cold, and all I could think of was that time I decided my novel was more important than winter gloves and I walked to class reading without them. I had clutched the book and thrown myself into it but even the story could not keep me from noticing the tight smooth feeling of my own skin, like it was aged and fragile, like it was china and porcelain and glass, like it would shatter. I remembered turning the pages with fingers that felt like paper themselves, the dry chapped skin cracking, cracking, blood welling up along a knuckle, the tingle and bite of the cold in the tips of my fingers. I could not bring myself to offer that man my gloves, nor to hold the bouncing and uncertain ladder when he climbed.
-----------------------------
The year of the comet. Watching it swell like a dragonsnap with time, a hot blossom against the sky. Once we never even knew of it. Now it's larger than the sun. Every night I keep looking up, and clouds disappoint me.
-----------------------------
When I sat on the stairs before the theatre I looked up. The hall was dimly lit and cold. Above a large round globe gave off an orange-colored light, dim and diffuse. The filthy skylight cut black rectangles out of the night's skin. Snow gathered silently in the corners.
-----------------------------
If you were to take a newborn child and immerse them in water, all but their head, they will do what is called "opening." Their legs and arms unfurl and relax in the water, and they stretch and arch their backs. Their eyes open and they look around and relax. The whole tight squalling fist of the child will release itself slowly into the water, like the shell of a flower, swollen with the water, swelling in morning sunlight, as if coming home

Stories I'm currently working on.

***Tbook1 (Time and Chaos, needs a new name, needs to be edited)

***Book of Sun (Just needs to be edited. Tis a Nano novel)

***Book of Whispers part 1 (Does not jive at all with part 2; needs to be rewritten to fit and to have less suckage)

***Book of Whispers part 2 (Needs some rehaul editing, needs some loose ends tied up, needs to fit)

***Book of Whispers part 3 (Needs to be finished... then needs to die o.o Not sure if I need a third part in the series)

***Dium's Story (Needs a point, progress, anything... needs to be integrated into Tbook1, since that is what it is a part of, mainly)

***Trio Story with Jackie and Louise (Maybe we should get together and work on this, guys)

***Demon Story (This is working out pretty good so far. I like the plot, it's a bit convoluted, and the characters are interesting)

***New Witch Story (It's only 30 pages long, dang)

***Dragon's Voices (This has SO much potential! wee!)
